DAILY OCTOBER.

...nearly.
I intended this month to try and post a photo on Instagram every day. I'm sure I've said before but I love looking back through old photos and this is such an easy way to do it. Although I missed a day or two here is a summary in photos of what my last month or so looked like.

GENEVA.

My lovely friend Jenna is living in Switzerland right now so recently I booked my flights and headed out to pay her visit. This was my first time visiting Switzerland and due to an early flight, I found myself with a whole day to explore Geneva before catching a train to meet Jenna in Lausanne.

I've never actually spent a whole day alone abroad before but I filled the day with wandering the streets, reading, taking photos and dropping by the recommended tourist attractions. Despite not realising I was on the wrong side of the Rhone for maybe an hour and walking down some dodgy streets, suitcase in hand, I found my bearings and made it across to the old town.

DAILY JUNE.

This past month over on Instagram I've been posting a photo everyday. It's something I've done before (about 6months ago) and although I use Instagram anyway, I tend set myself a monthly challenge when my feed is looking a bit empty. I do really love taking photos but sometimes I can feel uninspired, especially when weeks fill up with work. I really appreciate having photos to look back on whether it's of a specific time or just the sky, a building or food (80% of my photos!), and pushing myself to be observant in the everyday can't be a bad thing in my opinion.
I love this little summary of the past month, even if I did miss one day. Here's hoping that July is just as fun

AUTUMN IN MAY.

It's been a bit quiet over here recently which means life has been busy and it's not really slowing down but that's ok. This month is looking a bit jam packed but I spent the last few days away in York with my best friend to take some time out. I'll share some more photos later but here a a few I captured in the Museum Gardens while we enjoyed the sunshine.

I love that it's Spring and that there are so many flowers and trees alive! Weirdly the colours were very autumnal but beautiful all the same.

HOLBECK HOLIDAY.

During the Easter Holidays I was lucky enough to spend a week with some great people in Wales. We managed to pack a whole lot into our time away including spontaneous singing sessions, as much beach as we could manage, good food, dancing, glitter and amazingly, April sunshine!
One of the best parts was starting the day praying and singing together. Taking time out to thank God for being together and all he has done for us made me a lot more thankful and aware of just how blessed we are.

My camera practically never left my neck, it was well worth being at the back of a few walks and on the sidelines in order to document some of the fun we had. Below is a fraction of what I captured.

 SUNSHINE ON THE COAST
EASTER EGG MALTESER HOT CHOCOLATE, YUM!
 CUTEST BEACHSIDE CAFE
 FULL MOON
TEAM SHOT! AFTER AN EPIC GAME OF BEACH OLYMPICS
 ANOTHER STUNNING EVENING
 SUNSET AND PEBBLES
MY NEW FAVOURITE PHOTO (GROUP PICTURE MINUS A FEW..) SO MUCH LOVE FOR THESE PEOPLE
ICE CREAM AND BARE LEGS (IT WAS BASICALLY SUMMER)

Not featured... face masks, murder mystery evening, Easter egg hunt and fish and chips.
Hope you had a wonderful Easter. Check back later for a few more photos if you fancy it.

TODAY.

Today involved an impromptu walk followed by coffee and cake.

It was a really beautiful day,  perfect for being outdoors and spending some quality time with an ace friend (and avid reader!). I also got to practice using my new camera which was so fun!

SUNSHINE!
THE BEAUTIFUL KATE, SO HAPPY TO KNOW HER.
STILL DREAMING OF PICNICS AND SUMMERTIME.
CLIMBING THIS WAS WAY HARDER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN!
HILLSIDE CAFE TO SPLIT THE LAST PIECE OF CARROT CAKE... ALSO JUST ANOTHER EXCUSE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF A PRETTY BUILDING.

Thanks for a fun afternoon Kate and for snapping a few pictures of me!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend

LOOK AROUND.

I love exploring new places and taking time to appreciate the elements that make it up. These a photos are from a very familiar place but the same principle still applies. I took my camera out and about with me the other day to help capture a few parts of the city, taking time to look at the attention to detail and talent that has been put into creating this place that can be missed.  It makes me feel quite grounded that some of these have stood for over 200 years while so many changes have happened around them.  It's amazing what you can see when you take the time to look around.

LIFE THIS NOVEMBER.

The months seems to be flying, how is this year practically done? I have plans written into my diary all the way past Christmas which feels partly like everything has already happened!
I wanted to try and take a photo everyday in November but that very quickly failed. Instead I tried to capture little things that have happened over the last month to share with you. These are not very exciting things but have just made up life recently.
Enjoy!
